4. What is included in the price?

The basic price for all our products includes registering your domain name, setting the site up for you, and hosting it on a web server for the first year. Thereafter an annual fee is payable to cover the cost of renewing your domain name and hosting costs.

5. What support or help is available to me if I have problems?

Your control panel includes on-line documentation and instructions on how to update your site. It also contains detailed FAQs relating to updating of your site. If you encounter a specific problem that is not answered by these then you can e mail an enquiry to our help desk or complete the on-line enquiry form that comes with the control panel.

6. Can I make changes to the design of my site?

The Boatweb Basic and Boatweb Premium have been designed to make it as simple as possible for you to upload pictures and stories to your site, without you having to go through lots of complicated setup procedures to specify your layout. Hence it is not possible to make changes to the design layout of these products. However, if you order Boatweb Custom then you can have complete control over the design, layout and content of your site. We will make a site customised to your exact needs.

1. What do I have to do to get my own Boatweb site?

Simply complete the online order form on this site and we do the rest for you. Once your new site is set up we will send you the login details for your control panel and you can start uploading your own photos and stories to your new site.

2. Do I need any specialist software or knowledge to update my site?

No. You can update the content of your site using your control panel which can be accessed from any standard web browser that has an internet connection. You can even upload photos and stories from a mobile phone provided that it has a web browser installed on it. No specialist knowledge is needed to operate the control panel.

3. How many photographs can I upload to my site?

There is no limit to the number of images that can be added to a gallery, but to ensure that your Gallery page continues to load quickly we recommend that you do not add more than 15 to 20 images to any single gallery. The overall number of images that can be uploaded to your website is determined by the amount of memory space that is allocated to your website. Once you are close to reaching your limit we will contact you and give you the option of purchasing additional memory for your website. The standard memory allocation will allow you to upload at least 4,000 images.
